About
Dr. Georgios C. Anagnostopoulos received his Electrical Engineering Diploma from the University of Patras, Greece in 1994 and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Central Florida in 1997 and 2001 respectively. After working as a software engineer for Lucent Technologies from 1997-2001 and serving as a visiting assistant professor in the Computer Science department of the SEECS at the University of Central Florida in 2001, he joined the Electrical and Computer Engineering department at the Florida Institute of Technology as an assistant professor in 2003. Dr. Anagnostopoulos is a member of the IEEE, a member of the International Neural Network Society and is serving as a reviewer for the IEEE Transactions on Neural Networks. His main research area is machine learning with emphasis on pattern recognition.
